KDF is a copper and zinc alloy often used in pre treatment to promote longevity of carbon filters and to provide polished water. KDF effectively removes or reduces Chlorine, organic particles, pesticides, fungicides, calcium, and various metals. Lifetime 2-3 years.
KDF can be combined with coconut carbon in a 10", BB10" or BB20" refill cartridge.
